Southridge Afternoon Session Placed 3rd in Sigabo 2016

PAREF Southridge, represented by the Grade 10 Afternoon School students, was adjudged 3rd best in a pool of 10 schools that competed in the 8th Sigabo Choral Interpretation Competition held in Pasig City on 22 October 2016. The competition carried the theme: Panahon ng Milenyo: Rebolusyon ng Integridad at Prinsipyo Tungo sa Tugatog ng Tagumpay. The contest piece was entitled Ang Maikling Prologo ng Malaepikong Rebolusyon ng Mandirigmang Milenyal written by Christian Vallez aka Juan Ekis. Our Junior High School students were also cited as the group with the Pinakamalikhaing Kagamitan. The group trained for months under the tutelage of Mr. Chock Encabo with the able support of the Filipino Department led by Mr. Gino Luayon and the AS Filipino Teachers, Messrs. Emon Constantino and Dastin Tabajunda. This was the first time the Afternoon School participated in this yearly national competition organized by the youth arm of the Children’s Museum and Library, Inc.
